Who can enter and shop
You must be 21 years of age or older to browse this website, visit our store, or buy any product from Sage Seeds. There are no exceptions, and adult-use purchases are not available to anyone under 21. Registered medical patients should follow their certifying provider's guidance; this policy covers our adult-use retail operation.
The on-site age gate
When you first visit sageseedsny.com, you will see an age gate asking you to confirm that you are 21 or older before you can view the menu. This is also the point at which our site begins loading optional analytics; until you confirm 21+, non-essential tracking stays off. Confirming your age is a statement that you meet the legal requirement to shop with us.
Valid ID at the door
Confirming online is only the first step. When you arrive at 248-15 Union Turnpike, our team will check a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID before you enter the retail floor and again at the register. Acceptable IDs include a state driver's license or non-driver ID, a U.S. passport or passport card, a military ID, or another government-issued photo ID that shows your date of birth.
ID at every delivery handoff
Delivery is held to the same standard as the store. Our driver will check a valid government-issued photo ID at the door before handing over any order. The person receiving the delivery must be 21 or older and match the order. If no one can present valid ID, or the recipient is under 21, the driver cannot complete the delivery.
When we will not sell
For everyone's safety and to keep our license in good standing, Sage Seeds will not sell cannabis to:
- Anyone under 21 years of age
- Anyone who cannot present valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
- Anyone who appears intoxicated or impaired
- Anyone attempting to buy on behalf of a person under 21
How we verify
Our budtenders are trained to inspect IDs carefully, confirm the date of birth, and decline a sale when something does not check out. We would rather ask twice than make a mistake. Verifying age protects our community and is a core part of operating responsibly under New York law.
