A cannabis tincture is a liquid cannabis extract dissolved in a carrier oil (MCT coconut oil is most common) or alcohol. It comes in a 30 mL bottle with a graduated dropper for precise dose measurement.
NY licensed tinctures typically list:
- Total mg per bottle (often 300, 600, 1000 mg total)
- mg per mL (typically 10, 20, or 33 mg per mL)
- Cannabinoid ratio (1:0 = THC only; 1:1 = equal THC:CBD; 2:1 CBD:THC; etc.)
The dropper makes precise dosing easy: 1 mL of a 20 mg/mL tincture is exactly 20 mg of THC. No guesswork.
Sublingual vs swallowed: this matters
